I don’t wake up each day looking for the “oops” of the editing world, I’m just naturally talented at seeing them. I compile some that I find here, to prove that everyone, even multinational corporations, needs good copy editors. The best typo I’ve found so far was the insert in a box of Gillette razors saying that they were proud of their “quailty.” I didn’t document that one, which is why I started saving the others I found.

If writing is what you’d like to be known for, then don’t misspell “Freelance”! Surely, this person was in a hurry and would be mortified if he knew that this mistake was on his professional profile for the world to see. We know he knows how to spell “freelance” and he’s probably an amazing writer. Which just goes to show you why everyone needs editors to look over their work, even people who are in the business of writing and don’t think they need editors.
