This was one of the first stories that I wrote for the Register-Guard’s Home and Garden section, from January 2014. Eugene’s first approved straw bale house has weathered 17 years, 4 different owners, kids and grandkids rumbling through it, and it still looked amazing. Here’s the full PDF of Straw_bale.
