One of the things that Eugene Magazine did frequently was guides–the magazine would publish lists of local doctors, veterinarians, landscaping companies, etc. The guides aren’t so fun to read on their own but they are informative and it’s a nice way for readers to have a lot of contacts in one handy place. They’re also a lot of work. As editor of Eugene Magazine, I was in charge of creating the lists, which entailed calling each and every location that was listed to confirm the information and factcheck. No, we didn’t have interns to do this! If you want to see this entire Fall 2011 Vet Guide, click the link to view the PDF, otherwise, here’s the opening page to let you know what it’s all about.
